[Frequently Asked Questions](https://support.vlex.com/support-1/frequently-asked-questions) # Incorporate documents into vLex Combining internal knowledge with vLex's database will unlock connections. vLex is designed to analyse any type of legal document and create links between them, which can include internal documents from your practice. There are two ways to incorporate your documents into vLex and improve your legal research by utilising your existing knowledge. ### vLex Cloud Using [vLex Cloud](https://support.vlex.com/features/vlex-cloud) will allow you to: - **Update your citations in real time.** See if there have been any changes to your [cited authorities](https://support.vlex.com/document-types/case-law/cited-authorities) , for example, subsequent [treatments, whether positive or negative](https://support.vlex.com/document-types/case-law/treatment-types) , that might change the way you use a document. - **Easily and continuously analyse your documents** in case there have been changes made to a piece of [legislation](https://support.vlex.com/document-types/legislation) or a [case](https://support.vlex.com/document-types/case-law) . - **Use vLex tools on your documents, such as** [**highlights and notations**](https://support.vlex.com/features/document-management/notes-and-highlights) . - **Share law firm documents with other account users, chosen by you.** This way, your whole organisation can access your documents within vLex, but only if you want them to, of course. To integrate your documents into vLex, you will first need to upload them to Dropbox, Google Drive, Box or OneDrive. Next, connect your file hosting service to [vLex Cloud](https://support.vlex.com/features/vlex-cloud) using the card that appears on your **Home** page. Your documents will stay updated as long as the cloud service remains connected to your vLex account. Only you can see your documents. Other users, or vLex staff, cannot see your private files. You can read more in [Privacy](https://support.vlex.com/support-1/privacy) . Click **# documents indexed** on your home page to see a list of all the documents you have synced to vLex. You can filter the results if you are searching for a specific document. As well as finding them here, you will also see your own documents appear in all of your vLex searches if they fit the search criteria. You can also use [**Vincent**](https://support.vlex.com/features/vincent) to upload a document, or copy and paste text.
